Abstract: The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) has, in archive, both digital data and hard-copy images from early VISSR (Visible and Infra-Red Spin Scan Radiometer) sensors on board the early Synchronous Meteorological Satellites (SMS) and Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES).
