Summary
Abstract: The Mount St Helens Internet GIS site was developed to help researchers from
different locations prepare material for a book on research at Mount St.
Helens. They wanted to see specific location in the area and use the same
terminology to describe them. The website displays additional information as
you zoom into specific area. Researchers can zoom to a site and find the name
they should use in their writing. There is a guided tour for researchers who
are not familiar with this type of application.
