Abstract:
MEaSUREs VIP Enhanced Vegetation Index products are supported by a NASA Making Earth Science Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) collaborative agreement. The EVI is a two-band VI developed as a consistent, high quality, and well characterized Earth Science Data Record (ESDR) using long term data from multiple satellites in support of global change studies. ... with researchers at Boston University, University of Hawaii, NOAA/ERT Inc., and the USGS-EROS LP-DAAC, an end to end system is currently being developed to support science algorithms that derive consistent EVI from AVHRR, SPOT, MODIS, and eventually VIIRS. The project includes validation and quality assurance analysis of these ESDRs in collaboration with the US-National Phenology Network (US-NPN) and the US-Southwest Regional Phenology Network (US-SWRPN).
